In collaboration with the European Confederation of Language Centres in Higher Education (CercleS) and the Réseau National des Centres de Langues de l'Enseignement Supérieur de France (Ranacles), the UNamur Language Center is organizing the upcoming CercleS training week.

This year's topic | Co-operation, collaboration and integration: the role of LSP instructors in higher education

The event will take place on 19-22 May 2026 and will bring together around 30 participants from across Europe for four days of exchange, reflection, and hands-on collaboration.

This training week will provide a forum for exploring innovative forms of collaboration between language instructors and content specialists, with the aim of enhancing student learning. Key areas of focus include:

  • Co-operation between language instructors and content specialists
  • Interdisciplinary collaboration and program integration
  • Research-driven pedagogical strategies to support diverse learners

We are seeking contributions

Communications

Two contributors are invited to give a 45-minute talk (plus Q&A) presenting innovative practices, challenges, or insights on effective cooperation and collaboration between LSP instructors and content specialists.

Workshops

We are also looking for four contributors to lead 90-minute workshops (30-minute presentation + 1-hour application/discussion/feedback) in which participants design cooperative teaching modules, share methods, and create practical exercises for interdisciplinary courses.

Abstracts must be submitted by February 9, 2026, to natassia.schutz@unamur.be

  • Communications (500 words) should provide a clear and concise overview of your topic
  • Workshops (300 words) should outline the format, objectives, and materials required

Registration and participation fees

The participation fees include the training sessions, accommodation and breakfast (19-21 May), coffee breaks, lunches, the gala dinner and cultural activities. 

  • CercleS members: €500
  • CercleS members without accommodation: €300
  • Non-members: €650
  • Non-members without accommodation: €450

Priority is given to CercleS members (including RANACLES). Non-member participation is subject to approval by the CercleS Executive Committee.
