Three types of research seminars take place within the Institute. These seminars bring together members around a variety of themes and generally take place during the day.

Democratic Transition - TRANSDEM

These seminars will focus on how current institutional, economic, environmental and migratory tensions are transforming and challenging the way our democratic regimes function.

YOUNG RESEARCHERS.SES

It gives doctoral students.e.s members of the Institute to present their research in a benevolent and interdisciplinary setting.

AGES

They will question how age articulates with other criteria of discrimination in our current societies, giving rise to a panoply of configurations, experiences and lived experiences at different stages of the life course.

METHODS SEMINAR

Designed to foster interdisciplinary collaboration and knowledge exchange, they will focus on advanced methodological approaches, particularly in natural language processing (NLP), artificial intelligence (AI), video and image analysis, and multimodal analysis.

  • April 30, 2025: Christopher Klamm (University of Mannheim and researcher at the Cologne Center of Comparative Politics) - Title to be confirmed
