The Ecole des Langues Vivantes provides foreign language training for members of the university community. Our aim is to offer local, quality teaching, responding to the academic and professional needs of our learners, whether they are students, future students or international mobility students staying at UNamur.
Language courses at faculties
The School of Modern Languages provides language training (English, Dutch, German and Spanish) for all UNamur students (with the exception of students of Germanic and Romance languages and literature). These courses are an integral part of the training offered by the various faculties, with offerings varying according to the study program.
Interfaculty language courses
In addition to courses specific to students' disciplines, the School of Modern Languages also offers cross-faculty courses giving students who wish to take their learning one step further.
Preparatory courses
L'Ecole des Langues Vivantes organizes preparatory English and Dutch course sessions for future students in the Faculties of Science, Computer Science and Economic, Social and Management Sciences.
French as a foreign language (FLE) courses
French as a foreign language courses are offered to ERASMUS students and non-French-speaking researchers at the University of Namur. Practical information is communicated through the Faculties.
