SETT support

Since 2019, the salon SETT "School, Education, Transformation, Technology" has welcomed Belgian and international experts to train teachers and nurture their reflections on issues surrounding digital in education. It is the largest French-speaking Belgian fair on this theme, bringing together teachers from all levels of education and all disciplines.

The University of Namur participates in the fair's scientific committee, selecting quality speakers and contributing with its most cutting-edge research.

The PRE-SETT 2024 workshop

On the occasion of the next SETT meeting in 2024, the Educ0NUm Chair organized the first edition of the Pre-SETT on Wednesday January 24, 2024. This scientific event took the form of a workshop where experts from different backgrounds were invited to work together to identify new issues, build bridges between disciplines and imagine joint contributions. Two key themes ran through the event: interdisciplinarity and the link between research and the field. The first is driven by the very essence of the Chair, which aims to provide interdisciplinary answers to complex problems.

The second embodies the relationship between Pre-SETT and SETT. Indeed, the aim is to seize on the problems and questions raised by teachers and education stakeholders to feed our research issues, while seeking to evolve and open up their thinking through our scientific work. Pre-SETT participants were invited to speak at the SETT trade show on January 25 and 26, notably at a panel featuring the workshop's collective contributions.

The activity book for a technical and critical digital education

The site lists digital education activities linked to the "Manual, Technical, Technological Training and the Digital" (FMTTN) repository, built as part of the "Pact for Teaching Excellence" education reform.

School-IT

The School-IT project aims to develop an original "digital kit" for teachers wishing to try their hand at teaching IT in nursery, primary and secondary education. This kit is organized around "turnkey" activities, short in duration and for the most part independent of each other, that teachers can easily set up within their classrooms.
