The University of Namur is one of the European partner universities involved in organizing the European Master’s in Skin Health and Care (EMOTION).
EMOTION’s mission is to train the next generation of translational scientists in the health and skincare sectors.
This master’s program consists of two semesters in Italy and one semester in Belgium or Spain.
During the first year, which takes place in Italy, courses in anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, dermatology, regulatory affairs, pharmaceutical technology, and medicinal chemistry are offered, along with workshops on project management, drug discovery, and the characteristics of the pharmaceutical and cosmetics sectors.
During the first semester of the second year, you are invited to choose between continuing your studies in preclinical dermo-cosmetic and pharmaceutical research (in Spain) or in clinical development (at the University of Namur).
You will also participate in workshops designed to introduce you to the world of industry and develop your soft skills (including an introduction to the markets for cosmetics, dermatological drugs, and medical devices; an exploration of current topics in 21st-century dermatology; and entrepreneurship skills).
Finally, during the second semester of your final year, you will have the opportunity to work on your thesis in industry or in academia at one of the three partner universities or elsewhere in the world.
Taught in English, this 120-credit master’s program—limited to 30 students—allows you to earn a dual degree from the University of Eastern Piedmont (Italy) and one of its partner institutions: the University of Namur or Miguel Hernández University (Spain).
You will have the opportunity to experience teaching at these universities, all of which are experts in their fields, while gaining international experience and discovering different teaching methods and the cultures of the partner countries.
