Prof. Dr. Alain Decop is director of the Certificate in Hotel and Tourism Management (which itself took over from the Interuniversity Certificate in Tourism and Leisure Management organized over 10 years and which trained over 200 professionals)

Prof. Dr. Alain Decrop is co-organizer of the RWET. Alain Decrop is the co-organizer (and UNamur official partner) of RWET (Rencontres Wallonnes de l'E-Tourisme which brings together nearly 200 tourism professionals in Namur every year)

Prof. Dr. Alain Decrop was President of afm for 2 years (2020-2022) and International Vice-President for 2 years (2022-24). Within this framework, he was able to set up a reflection on the need to develop marketing for a responsible society which resulted in a collaborative work available free of charge on the afm website

  • Participation in the Student Film Festival on Consumerism

Along with colleagues from afm, Prof. Dr. Alain Decrop has been part of the Student Film Festival on Consumerism for the past three years. For the past ten years, Prof. Dr. Alain Decrop has been a member of the organizing committee for aStudent Film Festival on Consumption, which aims to showcase the video productions produced by Management students and engineers as part of their various courses. This festival was awarded the afm's Pedagogical Innovation prize in 2022.

  • Reflection (currently being pursued) on the image of marketing to the general public

  • Implication in the Belgian Marketing Awards

Prof. Dr. Alain Decrop has been a member of the jury of the Belgian Marketing Awards for the past two years, which aims to reward the best marketers, companies and marketing campaigns in Belgium
