External funding for research projects at the University of Namur accounts for almost two-thirds of total funding for Namur research projects. Many research projects are made possible thanks to our regional, community, federal and European funders.

The MIRVALIS project
Since 2008, the ADREs of FWB universities, gathered within the LIEU network have benefited from joint funding from the ESF and the Walloon Region with the MIRVAL and MIRVAL+ programs, which has enabled the organization of the Network, the promotion of skills and the raising of awareness among researchers. For 2021-2027, the project is entitled MIse en Réseau de la VALorisation de l'Innovation Stratégique (MIRVALIS) and is supported by the ERDF and Wallonia.
