The FaSEF provides theoretical and practical training in preparation for the CAPAES for teachers under contract to a Haute-École or in social promotion higher education outside the pedagogical categories.
Information about CAPAES
Target audience
The CAPAES is a compulsory certificate, organized by decree by the FWB which enables teachers already working in a Haute-École or in social promotion higher education to obtain an appropriate pedagogical title.
This condition is set by the circular 9021 of 7/09/2023.
ATTENTION! In the case of teachers in pedagogical categories who teach pedagogy, didactics or training to and through practice, the required qualification is the Master of Specialization in Teacher Education (MSFE).
Organization
We organize the CAPAES in collaboration with ITN Namur.
The schedule is spread over a year in evening classes only (Tuesdays and Thursdays). Please note, staggering is no longer possible following the Landscape decree.
An integrated assignment based on your professional practice is due at the end of the course. It constitutes the major part (pedagogical component) of the professional file enabling you to obtain the certificate
Course exemptions
Number of teaching qualifications entitle the holder to a reduced timetable (exemption from the "Introduction to higher education pedagogy" and "Introduction to adult pedagogy" courses). This list can be consulted here: Art. 6. § 5. du décret du 17/07/2002.
