Willkommen, Welcome, Welkom! The Bachelor's degree in Germanic Languages and Literatures is defined by the transmission and development of a whole range of linguistic, analytical, critical and communicative skills. These skills are not only highly valuable on the job market, but also have a significant human value. The Department of Germanic Languages and Literatures is a department apart, in a university apart: human-sized, human-centered, friendly and family-oriented, qualitative, competitive and immersive: it's made for you!

The department offers its students the chance to spend a semester abroad during the first semester of the final year of their bachelor's degree. A formula that has worked successfully for years!

Association of Old Germanists

Created on June 28, 2004, at the time of the tribute paid to Professor Jacques Weisshaupt on the occasion of his emeritus, the GermAN association has two primary aims. Firstly, it regularly organizes meetings, tributes and celebrations. Second, it tries to keep in touch with our alumni through newsletters and news shared on the department's Facebook page.
