The department organizes the three-year Bachelor's degree in French and Romance Languages and Literatures. Training for Romanists consists of general courses (modern literatures, philosophy, history, art history) and specialty courses (history and theory of literature, Spanish or Italian, linguistics). Teaching is multifaceted: lectures, exercises in small groups, seminars and personal work.

Supervision and pedagogical support
Pedagogical support activities are organized by the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters.
In this context, the Cellule d'appui pédagogique (CAP) offers various types of support: diagnostic tests, remedial modules, individualized follow-up of written work in partnership with subject teachers.
Romanists also benefit from specific coaching linked to theoretical courses and practical exercises in French and the Romance languages on the syllabus (Italian or Spanish).
International student mobility
The Department of Romance Studies has had Erasmus agreements with several foreign universities in Spain, Argentina, Italy, France, Canada and Cyprus since 1987.
Students thus have the opportunity, right from the baccalaureate, to study for a semester at a European university.
Continuing education
The CEDOCEF (Centre d'étude et de documentation pour les enseignants de français) provides continuing education for teachers of French.
