The Department of Biology organizes the annual competition for the Adrien Bauchau Prize.

This prize was established in 1989 thanks to the financial support of the Bauchau family, numerous former Biologists, Pharmacists, Doctors and Veterinary Surgeons, members of the Jesuit Community and the University. A number of personalities from the Belgian scientific community, academia and industry also contributed to its implementation.

Congress fellowship

The Bauchau Congrès fellowship is awarded annually to a student preparing a PhD in biology. Financial aid can be awarded to young academics or post-docs with a view to contributing to the development of their professional careers.

Conference for the general public - Prof Patrice Cani | How do gut bacteria affect our health?

The FAB wanted to mark its attachment to the Namur university community by creating the "Espace Bauchau". Located at the junction of the Medicine and Cellular and Molecular Biology buildings with the building housing Organismal Biology, it offers students a place of conviviality and calm. A number of journals are available, and showcases display illustrations of major discoveries in biology.
