This course introduces the specific problem of large modern information systems. To this end, the course will have two parts: a theoretical presentation and presentations of case studies by outsiders. This course will allow students to appreciate the relevance of various courses which are delivered over its future cursus.

Inhoud

The theoretical presentation will introduce the different types of information systems (transactional, management, decision support and inter-enterprise), stages of the life cycle of project development and organizational dimensions of development of an information system (analysis of function and the constraints of existing organizational setting objectives and functional requirements of the new system '). It will introduce students to new information systems (client / server n-tier, cooperative systems, email systems, ...), the methodological aspects of analysis and design, and underlying technologies (process, communication interface repository).

Evaluatiemethode

The evaluation will cover both the theoretical understanding of concepts and lectures outsiders. The exam is oral.
