In courses of the day, the Faculty offers an innovative pedagogy centered on project-based learning, the "Learning by doing", right from the first bachelor's year. This approach enables students not only to acquire fundamental disciplinary skills, but also to deepen and interweave them, and to develop soft skills. Our students are trained to collaborate in teams, develop critical thinking skills, think sustainably and systemically, and communicate effectively. This dynamic teaching methodology aims to create an enriching educational experience, where students are actively involved in concrete projects. In this way, the faculty is committed to training tomorrow's experts and decision-makers, ready to meet the complex challenges of today's world.

In a staggered timetable, the economics and management programs have been designed to adapt to the needs of adults keen to develop solid expertise in management fields, alongside their family and professional lives. As a worker employed in the private sector, you can benefit from the paid educational leave system, which means that you receive an allowance during your training and can take normal paid leave whether you take the training during or outside normal working hours.

From a pedagogical point of view, all our staggered schedule training courses combine face-to-face and distance learning activities. What's more, courses are more interactive, concrete and practical. They involve "external" professors to share their experience of the business world with students. In addition, courses are taught entirely in French, and students have access to comprehensive written materials for most courses. Last but not least, the program relies on personalized support arrangements as well as a range of proven and innovative learning methods (such as flipped classes, real-life simulations to offer an environment that is both stimulating and flexible, self-assessment quizzes, individual or group coaching sessions, etc.).

The Didactic Unit of the Faculty of Economic, Social and Management Sciences coordinates the educational support activities of the bachelor's degree student, paying particular attention to the first year. It also conducts ongoing reflection and pedagogical monitoring within the faculty, in close collaboration with professors, assistants, program managers and study secretariats.

The main missions of the Cellule didactique revolve around two axes:

Student axis:

• Coordination of group coaching sessions, exercises and formative tests
• Organization of activities to support student success
• Advice to students in difficulty, during the year and after formative tests and exams

Teacher axis:

• Animation, coordination and follow-up of pedagogical reflection with teaching staff
• Support for the professionalization of assistants in their pedagogical activities
• Organization of pedagogical seminars
• Implementation and follow-up of program and teaching evaluations

A dedicated pedagogical coordinator ensures the link between students' needs, teachers' pedagogies and UNamur's many services. Its aim is to guarantee a learning environment conducive to success.
