Through the field it embodies, the Department enjoys privileged relations with the business world. As such, it intends to help build bridges between society and the university, while preserving its independence and academic neutrality.
These relationships are mutually beneficial: they enable the dissemination of scientific advances within organizations, and they promote the appropriation by academics and scientists of the issues facing companies.
Relationships with companies revolve around several axes:
- Internships for students (sandwich or immersion courses, international internships, "classic" internships)
- Conferences by business professionals within or outside courses
- Jobdays and recruitment
- Research and teaching chairs
- etc
Because of their expertise, the Department's academics are regularly called upon (media, consulting, etc.).
