Leerresultaten

To discover, know and understand the main vertebrate animal tissues (structure and function) in order to be able to position them in the main organs of vertebrate animal systems in Special Histology, Physiology and Anatomy.

Doelstellingen

Use the basics of animal cell biology (Cytology) to know and understand the morphology of different animal tissues, mainly vertebrates, and relate them to their functions. Become able to integrate them into organs and later relate them to their dysfunctions in pathology courses.

Evaluatiemethode

Thirty questions make up the MCQ that assesses the theory during the examination session. Its result (+1 for a correct answer, -0.25 for a wrong answer, 0 for an abstention) gives the numerical value (X/20) which serves as a basis for the calculation of the final mark. This calculation depends on the result obtained in a general histology practical examination. A successful practical examination result (10 or more/20) that is at least 3 points higher than the mark obtained in theory (i.e. X+3/20) increases the latter by 1 point (final mark = X+1/20). A successful practical training result (10 or more/20) at least 6 points higher than the mark obtained in theory (i.e. X+6/20) increases the latter by 2 points (final mark = X+2/20). However, a failed practical training result of 9/20 penalizes the final mark by 1 point (X-1/20), of 8/20 penalizes it by 2 points (X-2/20), of 7/20 penalizes it by 4 points (X-4/20), of 6/20 penalizes it by 6 points (X-6/20) and of 5/20 or less penalizes it by 10 points (X-10/20)
