Biographie
Franc¿ois Randour is a postdoctoral researcher and guest lecturer at the Department of Political, Social and Communication sciences, University of Namur and associate researcher at the Institut de Sciences Politiques Louvain-Europe (UCLouvain). He was also a guest lecturer at UCLouvain, the University of Antwerp and Sciences Po (Paris) and has been a visiting fellow at Mannheim University, the University of Antwerp and Sciences Po. After graduating from the University Saint-Louis Brussels, where he obtained two bachelors - one in Political Science and the other in Sociology and Anthropology - he then specialized in EU studies and hold master degrees from the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) and KU Leuven. Between 2011 and 2017, he was a PhD student and teaching assistant in political science at UCLouvain. His doctoral dissertation examined from a comparative perspective the negotiation autonomy of Austrian, Belgian and German federal executives in the Council of the European Union vis-a¿-vis their domestic (regional and national) parliaments. In particular, it aims at explaining to what extent, how and why regional and national parliamentary actors scrutinize EU decision-making processes, as well as the consequences on the negotiation autonomy of federal executives. Overall, his research and teaching interests focus on EU decision-making processes, the European Parliament, (sub)national parliaments, multi-level governance, federalism, citizen attitudes and political discourse analysis.
