Biographie
Jordan Abras is a PhD researcher in Artificial Intelligence Management at the University of Namur (Belgium). After two years as a teaching assistant, he was awarded a Research Fellow grant from the F.R.S.–FNRS to pursue his doctoral research on the impact of Generative AI on strategic decision-making.
His research focuses on how GenAI technologies, and in particular large language model-based decision support systems, reconfigure strategic decision processes. He is particularly interested in the cognitive and interactional dynamics that emerge when decision-makers engage with AI, as well as in how these systems influence reasoning, coordination, and collective sensemaking in complex decision contexts. His work examines both individual and group-level dynamics, with a growing emphasis on how Human-AI interactions scale into collective decision patterns.
Methodologically, his research combines qualitative and experimental approaches, complemented by computational analyses of interaction data to examine how Generative AI is used in practice. Through this lens, his work is situated at the intersection of information systems, management, and digital innovation, and engages with practice- and process-oriented perspectives on technology use.
Beyond his academic work, Jordan collaborates with public and private organizations on the design and implementation of Generative AI-augmented decision support systems to improve access to data, support operational and strategic decision-making, and explore new forms of Human-AI collaboration in real-world settings.
