Biographie

I completed my bioengineering studies at UCLouvain. Following this, I spent several years working as a data scientist in the private sector. Eventually, I returned to UCLouvain to take up a position as a teaching assistant in statistics. My academic background and work experience have positioned me at the intersection of biology and statistics. This blend of disciplines is precisely why I find my current role as a Research Logistician at UNamur so fulfilling.

As a Research Logistician in the Biology Department, my role is multifaceted. A significant part of my role is providing consultancy services. I assist researchers and students in their experimental design, data analysis, statistics and interpretation. I also offer guidance in refining R scripts to facilitate data-driven research.

In addition to consultancy, I teach practical classes in biostatistics, experimental design, and R programming, ensuring a comprehensive educational approach.  I emphasize the practical application of statistical methods within realistic biological contexts. This hands-on approach allows students to understand the relevance and utility of these methods in real-world research scenarios, thereby enhancing their learning experience and promoting a culture of autonomy.

I also contribute to the inclusion of statistics in other classes, fostering a multidisciplinary educational approach within the department.

Continuous professional development is thus a key aspect of my role. I am continuously updating my knowledge of biostatistics and experimental design to ensure the department remains at the forefront of these fields.
