A bus station integrated into the same building as a train station... it's a first in Wallonia!

Since March 1, 2023, Namur station has had a facelift. With its brand-new multimodal infrastructure, it ensures easy connections for users, who enjoy an even more pleasant journey.

Multimodality, serving everyone

Like a new Namur landmark, the magnificent, elegant and slender cable-stayed bridge signals the arrival and departure of travelers to and from the Mosan city.

As they cross it, buses leave the traffic of the city center to find themselves in their brand-new 12,000m² station, which, perched above the slab of the train station, contributes to its beautiful architecture.

A memorable and pleasant experience for train-bus passengers, who now benefit from a larger, brighter, safer space and minimal interchange time (just 2 minutes) to reach their connection between the two modes of transport.

Travel in transition

With this new station, Namur is taking part in a response to the climate and energy crisis. Accessible to all, including people with reduced mobility, the multimodal station strengthens the synergy between different modes of public transport and encourages car users to question their choice of travel mode in order to reduce environmental impact.

The Namur welcome, as you leave the station

Now it's the turn of the station forecourt to be renovated to make the entrance to the city more friendly and attractive than it is today.

On the program for spring 2024: more space for pedestrians, terraces for Horeca, new platforms dedicated to buses running exclusively within the city of Namur...

By then, the 23.000 commuters who pass through Namur station every day, can enjoy the comfort of their journeys, but also admire the view towards the Bommel church, the cable car and the Citadel that emerges from the heights of their new station.
