The University of Namur's Vie de la Communauté Universitaire (VéCU) service covers a variety of areas, including financial, psychological and medical support. The Cellule sociale and Cellule Médico-Psychologique (CMP) offer financial aid, psychological consultations and specific support for students with disabilities. In collaboration with other university services, VéCU also contributes to the fight against harassment with the PHARE scheme and supports harm reduction initiatives in festive environments.

Financial and social assistance

The main mission of the Cellule sociale's social workers is to welcome, accompany, support and intervene to promote study and success conditions and contribute to the well-being of students. They offer guidance, information, financial aid, job offers and the loan of work equipment. They also offer a sympathetic ear in complete confidentiality.

It provides a number of services to ensure that each student has the best possible study experience: stress management support, awareness-raising and discussion workshops on mental health-related topics, and a discussion on the importance of harm reduction in festive environments. All services are free of charge.
