The annual science and technology event in the Wallonia-Brussels Federation.
As an annual celebration of science and technology, the Printemps des Sciences brings together various stakeholders from higher education, research, and the nonprofit and cultural sectors. This week dedicated to discovery and experimentation is coordinated by the Sciences.be network and takes place throughout the Wallonia-Brussels Federation.
Each year, the Printemps des Sciences offers a rich and diverse program aimed at both school-age audiences (from kindergarten through 10th grade) and the general public. This program is developed and carried out in collaboration with universities and a broad network of cultural partners (museums, associations, etc.).
Discover, explore, and share the diversity of science and technology!
A wide range of activities—including workshops, labs, experiments, public demonstrations, performances, screenings, and lectures—are offered and led free of charge by faculty, researchers, and students from universities and colleges, as well as by their partners (museums, organizations, etc.).
Science and technology: full steam ahead!
Science and technology have never played such a dominant role in our society. Companies have never been in such need of technical and scientific staff. This comes as no surprise to anyone: the challenges we face in the areas of energy, climate, the environment, and public health are immense. Part of the solution will lie, among other things, in the next generation’s commitment to science and technology.
A promising opportunity for young people
You don’t have to be an expert in quantum physics or genetic engineering to develop an interest in science. Whether you’re a girl, a boy, or a young person from any background, Science Spring is here to spark everyone’s curiosity and interest. By participating, students and teachers will have the opportunity to meet inspiring figures, conduct unique experiments, and observe surprising phenomena.
A societal concern
Promoting scientific literacy among all audiences, regardless of age, is crucial. It enables people to understand, question, and engage with the scientific issues of our time. From grasping fundamental principles to exploring the latest innovations, scientific literacy stimulates our imagination, encourages critical thinking, and contributes to informed decision-making.
