Organisation des études

The bachelor

The bachelor's degree provides basic training in an academic discipline. At UNamur, beyond the acquisition of theoretical knowledge, you are trained to think critically. Special attention is given to every student in their first year. Easing your transition from secondary education to university is our priority.

The master

The Master's degree is the second part of your university curriculum and follows on from your bachelor's degree. Enriched by the research carried out within the University, it aims for autonomy and creativity and enables you to acquire the specific skills essential to the exercise of your future profession.

Master of Specialization

At the end of your university course, you have the opportunity to enrich your training with a Master of Specialization in fields in which the University has acquired particular expertise and recognition. In some cases, the master's degree in specialization can be an essential qualification for specific professional activities.

The doctorate

Third cycle of university training, the doctorate integrates doctoral training accessible only on completion of a 120-credit master's degree.

Credits... what are they?

Credits represent the overall amount of work involved in a course or other learning activity. They take into account not only the number of hours spent in class, but also laboratory hours, library research, personal work...

This system allows you to add value to credits earned in other training courses or at other Belgian and European universities. One year of study counts 60 credits.
