The chaplaincy is a meeting place for students where they can share their search for God and their quest for meaning.
Two Christian project-kots
The CRU kot
The kot welcomes 9 students.
Its project consists of animating the life of the Centre Religieux Universitaire by:
- participating in Wednesday evenings
- organizing the spaghetti supper
- warm and friendly community life, with one evening, every other Monday, as a fixed point
- welcoming people and groups passing through the CRU house
- practical support for "extraordinary" activities: festive evenings, conferences and so on.
Le kot de l'Amandier
The kot has 7 students.
Its project consists of:
- living community life, caring for others, with a kot evening on Mondays every two weeks;
- participating in and leading Wednesday celebrations at the CRU
- a social activity meeting Namur's homeless.
During the year, activities (interkot weekend and the organization of a "grand CRU" event), bring together the two kots of the Centre Religieux Universitaire to discuss, share, pray, relax, play...
Location: Rue Grandgagnage, 27
Through these two kots, the chaplaincy lives 24 hours a day. Unlike the AGE kots, these kots also welcome first-year students. The CRU (Centre Religieux Universitaire) reflects on its action within the "Conseil d'Animation Religieuse", a university body that brings together staff members, student representatives (AGE and Christian KAP) and chaplains.
Activities
Every Wednesday evening at 7 p.m., students prepare Eucharistic liturgies or listen to the Word of God at the university chapel (Rue Grafé, 4), ending with a spaghetti supper at Rue Grangagnage, 7. Throughout the year, various activities, such as conferences, board games, films and meetings with witnesses, are organized.
