Within the Vie de la Communauté Universitaire (VéCU) service, the Cellule sociale offers various financial interventions based on specific criteria and according to your situation (nationality, assimilation, academic, family and financial).

Financial assistance
For students already enrolled, a range of financial aid packages are available, based on specific criteria and situation, to help students study and succeed. The social unit is also on hand to help with administrative difficulties, budget management, family, relationships, adapting to studies and university life, etc.

The discount and/or loan for registration fees
- The discount allows to pay €374 or €485 instead of €835.
- The loan allows staggered payment of the €374, €485 or €835 registration fee (less €50 deposit).
Once you have familiarized yourself with the criteria, we invite you to complete the following common document for discount and loan. Please note that two versions are available for the academic year 2024-2025: one for Belgian and assimilated students and one for European students.
The 2023-2024 reduction files will be available from the Social Cell until August 30, 2024.
Short-term loan
This loan can be used to obtain an emergency loan, an advance on the study allowance from the Wallonia-Brussels Federation or any other grant. We invite you to fill in the following document.
The non-refundable allowance
The amount of this allowance takes into account the study budget and the theoretical financial participation of the family (or that of the student or his/her couple).
Financial assistance for the purchase of a computer
This assistance covers part of the costs for the student who has bought a computer or wants to buy one (new or reconditioned).
Other financial assistance
The following aids are available only for Belgian and assimilated students.
The internship and study stay loan
Destined for master's or specialization master's students who are doing an internship or study stay in Belgium or abroad. The dossier prêt stage et séjour d'études 2024-2025 will be available from the Cellule sociale from August 19.
The prêt master complémentaire
Destined for students holding a university or long-type diploma who are undertaking a complementary master's degree. The prêt master complémentaire 2024-2025 file will be available from the Cellule sociale from September 16.
The "Solidarithèque" solidarity grocery store
The Solidarithèque is a solidarity grocery store whose aim is to support higher education students facing financial difficulties. It is created and managed by the social services of the UNamur, HEAJ, HEPN, HENALLUX and IMEP in partnership with the Association pour la Solidarité Étudiante en Belgique (ASEB).
Equipment loan
If you're having problems with your computer equipment, it's possible to get a laptop on loan.
Relief for serious social reasons
Relief for serious social reasons allows students to lighten their annual program of study (APS), i.e., to constitute an APS containing fewer than 60 credits on the basis of a serious social reason arising during the year.
The Cellule sociale will process these requests from October 1, 2024 until the end of registration for the June assessments, i.e. March 1, 2025.
The 2024-2025 request for relief for a serious social reason file will be available from the Cellule sociale from September 16.

The social unit helps you to make practical adjustments to your daily life, and supports you in the steps necessary for change.
