Intervention in the payment of registration fees

Certain foreign students from outside the European Union (or assimilated to them), enrolled at UNamur for more than one year, must pay registration fees of €4,175, €2,505 or €5,010 (if they change cycle or reorient themselves during the cycle in 2025-2026).

The Commission des étudiants internationaux (formerly known as the Commission des étudiants étrangers) may grant, according to criteria it has established, total or partial, direct or conditional financial assistance for the payment of registration fees for students concerned by these provisions.

The application file must be collected from a Cellule sociale office from September 29 at the earliest until October 21 at the latest.

Financial assistance for the purchase of a computer

This intervention covers, for the student who meets the conditions, part of the costs related to the purchase of a computer (new or reconditioned).

Contribution to education and living expenses (excluding higher fees)

To obtain a residence permit to study in Belgium, all foreign students must provide proof of their financial autonomy (e.g. taken in charge by a guarantor, bank guarantee deposit).

However, if financial difficulties arise, the student can contact the Cellule sociale des étudiants:

  • either by e-mail: sse@unamur.be
  • or by telephone on 081/72 50 85
  • or at a permanence or appointment

to report his or her situation and obtain, if he or she meets the access conditions the application form for financial assistance.

Specific "exam" allowance

The Cellule sociale can grant students who work regularly to cover all or part of their study costs a specific "exams" allowance to enable them to devote more time to their exam session.

Info for the 2025-2026 academic year will be available from November 2025.
