Intervention for payment of increased duties
In addition to the €835 registration fee, foreign students from countries outside the European Union or those assimilated to them must pay higher fees. Students from the least developed countries on the United Nations list are exempt from these fees. The Commission des étudiants étrangers may grant, according to criteria it has established, a total or partial financial intervention for the payment of these increased fees.
Students wishing to submit an application for the 2023-2024 academic year must submit their complete file to the Cellule sociale des étudiants by October 27, 2023 at the latest.
Financial assistance for the purchase of a computer
This intervention helps the student who has bought a computer (01/07/2023 at the earliest) or who wants to buy one (new or reconditioned).
Contribution to education and living expenses (excluding higher fees)
To obtain a residence permit to study in Belgium, all foreign students must provide proof of their financial autonomy (e.g. taken in charge by a guarantor, bank guarantee deposit).
However, if financial difficulties arise, the student can contact the Cellule sociale des étudiants:
- either by e-mail: sse@unamur.be
- or by telephone on 081/72 50 85
- or at a permanence or appointment
to report his/her situation and obtain, if he/she meets the access conditions the application form for financial assistance.
