Our staggered schedule continuing education includes 7 different modules.

Certificat Miors modules

Each module has 3 specific learning objectives:

Module 1

Innovation and leadership

  1. Accompanying change and strengthening the resilience of the organization in the face of constant challenges.
  2. Adapting HR management and managerial practices to meet contemporary challenges while promoting well-being and inclusion.
  3. Develop strategic, innovative, and inclusive leadership to improve and quality of life at work and performance, while ensuring the well-being of employees.

Module 2

Healthcare governance and strategy

  1. Understand the issues, transformations and models of governance in the healthcare sector, as well as the role of care networks.
  2. Develop and implement innovative and collaborative strategies adapted to the evolutions of the sector and the needs of all stakeholders.
  3. Master project management and align initiatives with the strategic objectives of healthcare organizations.

Module 3

Innovation and project management

  1. Explore and master innovative project management methodologies, including Lean and Agile.
  2. Apply the principles of Lean Management and Agile methods for flexible and efficient project management.
  3. Understand and experiment with creative processes and innovative methodologies such as design thinking, for project implementation.

Module 4

Finance and levers of action

  1. Understanding and using key indicators and measurement tools for performance in the healthcare sector.
  2. Analyze the financing mechanisms of healthcare facilities and assess their economic impact.
  3. Identify levels of action to improve profitability, control financial risks, and integrate ethical considerations into performance measurement systems.

Module 5

Quality of care

  1. Understand and apply quality of care measures, integrating continuous improvement approaches.
  2. Use simulation to improve clinical practicesand develop strategies for continuous improvement of quality of care.
  3. Improve satisfaction and the patient experience by using marketing analysis and innovative practices tools.

Module 6

Infrastructure and information systems

  1. Understand and manage the challenges associated with the building and management of healthcare infrastructures, integrating a sustainable approach.
  2. Discover and apply the principles of sustainable development to care infrastructure, taking into account environmental impact and the requirements of public procurement.
  3. Mastering information systems and digital transformation in healthcare, while guaranteeing data security and optimizing processes.

Module 7

Communication and negotiation

  1. Apply the theoretical principles of negotiation and communication to practical scenarios in the healthcare sector.
  2. Develop skills in negotiation and conflict management, taking into account the specificities of the medical environment.
  3. Strengthen communication techniques to improve interactions and encourage collaboration within teams and with external partners.

The "MIORS" Certificate in Innovative Management of Healthcare Organizations and Networks takes place on Thursday evenings in distance learning and Fridays all day in a classroom setting.

What are the registration requirements?

Do you have a bachelor's degree (minimum requirement)?

Are you active on the territory of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation?

Are you already working in an organization in the CARE sector? In other words, hospitals, rest or care homes, medico-pedagogical institutes, home services, professional organizations federating the sector, aid and care networks...

You hold a job in the CARE sector? Are you a member of a management or medical committee, head of department, head of service (medical, nursing or support), team leader or coordinator...

This certificate is for you!

How much does this course cost?

This continuing education course costs €2,500.

Where does the training take place?

At UNamur, for face-to-face modules. At the Faculty of Economics Management Communication Political Science, Rempart de la Vierge 8, Namur. Distance learning for certain activities, notably those on Thursday evenings.

What are the requirements for obtaining the MIORS certificate?

At the end of the 6-month apprenticeship, an individual final assignment will be completed. During the writing of this work, you will benefit from individual and group coaching with the various contributors.

Who are the partners in our network?

Our MIORS training program is made up of a wide network of partners. Indeed, we can count on numerous universities and colleges, such as the University of Namur, Hénallux, Unessa and the Catholic University of Louvain. Healthcare institutions have also joined the project, including the Centre Hospitalier Régional Sambre et Meuse, the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire CHU UCL Namur and the Clinique Saint-Luc de Bouge. Finally, FormaNam, the Wallonia-Brussels Federation and the Walloon Region also support the MIORS certificate.

Schedule

The certificate starts in January 2025 and runs until June 2025.

During the six months of training, seven modules will be covered. Each module corresponds to a period, as you can discover.

Coaching sessions are scheduled for September and October, and the presentation of the end-of-training work will take place in November 2025.

Each training module takes place on Thursdays by videoconference from 5pm to 9pm, and on Fridays face-to-face from 8:30am to 5:30pm.

Certificat Miors comité de pilotage

Caroline Del Zotto

Caroline Del Zotto first trained in the healthcare sector at Henallux and HEPN. She then began her career as a Master of Practical Training in the hospital sector at Henallux. At the same time, she worked as a nurse at CHR Sambre et Meuse. It was at this hospital that she rose through the ranks to become Director of the Nursing Department. Before taking up this position, Caroline obtained a certificate in Innovative Management of Healthcare Organizations and Networks, followed by a Master's degree in Public Health, Administration and Management of Hospitals and Healthcare Establishments. In addition to her duties as Director, Caroline is also a member of the MIORS certificate steering committee and guest lecturer at the Institut Provincial de Promotion Sociale et de Formation Continuée.

Carole Moureaux

Carole Moureaux, is currently Deputy Director of the Paramedical Nursing Department and Associated Services at Clinique Saint-Luc in Bouge. Carole studied nursing at HEPN and Henallux. She then began her career as a nurse at Clinique Saint-Luc in Bouge. In parallel with her professional development, she deepened her knowledge by obtaining a master's degree in Public Health Sciences at UCLouvain, as well as an inter-university certificate in healthcare simulation at the University of Liège.

Mélanie Latiers

Mélanie Latiers brings the organizational expertise essential to this certificate. She completed her studies and doctorate in Economics and Management at UNamur. During the writing of her thesis, Mélanie was a Teaching and Research Assistant at UNamur. Her academic career then began as a Lecturer at UCLouvain and UNamur, as well as a Lecturer in Engineering and Social Action at HELHa, Institut Cardijn and Henallux. Currently, she is also Project Director at Orchis Recherches & Action-Formation, while continuing her academic duties.

Fabian Dehanne

After graduating in nursing at ISEI, Fabian Dehanne continued his studies with a master's degree in Public Health at ULiège. After obtaining his master's degree, he worked as a coordinator for the Tockem association in Cameroon. On his return, he enriched his career with a master's degree in Healthcare Facilities Management and various certificates in Strategic Thinking (UCLouvain), Health Economics (ULB) and Innovation Management (Louvain School of Management). He is currently General Management Consultant and Head of the Projects - Quality - Performance department, while lecturing in eco-management at UNamur and UCLouvain. He has also just completed his PhD in Public Health.

Fabienne Liesse

Fabienne Liesse is responsible for continuing education in the paramedical, health and social sectors at Henallux. She is also responsible for the Morocco Country Group. Before taking up these positions, Fabienne studied nursing at the ISEI and obtained a Master's degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration and Management at UCLouvain. Her professional career began as an emergency room nurse at Clinique Saint-Pierre in Ottignies. In addition to the various academic qualifications she holds, Fabienne also holds a certificate in wound healing from UCLouvain.

Aline Hotterbeex

After a bachelor's degree in nursing at HEPL and a master's degree in Health Sciences at ULiège, Aline Hotterbeex joined ULiège as a researcher. She then worked as a nurse before taking up the position of head of department at ISoSL. She then took up the post of health executive in the internal medicine department at the CHC in Liège, and obtained certification in business management and nursing home management from the IFA PME in Liège. She is currently in charge of the health department at ASBL UNESSA.
