Registration for the Jury de la Communauté française is open to self-taught individuals or those who have abandoned their studies and wish to resume them. Access to these tests is reserved for people who, for objective, legitimate reasons sovereignly assessed by the jury, are unable to follow teaching activities on a regular basis. Diplomas obtained in this way have the same value as those awarded to regularly enrolled students.
.Admission criteria
To apply for this type of registration, you must prove that:
- You meet the admission requirements that allow you access to undergraduate or postgraduate university studies,
- You are unable to regularly attend the courses in the study program due to a reason outside academic life (illness, etc.),
- You have not already been registered twice for the same year of study in the same course within the previous 3 academic years.
How to register
1. Registration for the French Community Jury is by assessment session (unlike regular students who register by academic year).
2. If you fail the first assessment session, you must submit a new application for the second session if you wish to retake the assessments.
3. Registrations are made via the online form (link to pdf form)
4. Documents required for registration:
- Photocopy of access title,
- Justifying the impossibility of attending the teaching activities of the chosen program,
- Photocopies of all higher and/or university diplomas obtained since the end of high school, as well as the supplement and appendices (if currently in final year of cycle, the attestation of achievement must be provided after the proclamation of results),
- Any document justifying the activities undertaken during the last 8 academic years,
- For higher studies (including university): provide an official transcript for each year of study or, where applicable, an official attestation of abandonment (with proof of activities undertaken after abandonment),
- For any other activity: provide any recent document justifying the dates of the activity:
- Language stay: attestation from the exchange organization mentioning the periods of the language stay(s),
- Salaried employment: attestation from the employer indicating the dates of the period of employment (the employment contract does not constitute sufficient justification),
- Activity as a self-employed person: attestation from the social contribution fund,
- Job application status: attestation from the unemployment organization (Actiris, Forem),
- Document issued by the last higher education institution attended attesting to the absence of debt at the end of the academic year concerned (valid for studies undertaken from the 2017-2018 academic year),
- Photocopy of both sides of identity card.
Make sure you provide all the documents required for your registration with the French Community Jury.
