The Economic Office of the Province of Namur

As the economic development agency for the Namur region, the Bureau Economique de la Province de Namur (BEP)provides entrepreneurs with a personalized approach, local services and specific tools. It supports companies in the development of their activities (start-up, expansion, consolidation, internationalization, establishment, etc.) and facilitates the emergence of innovative business projects.

Namur Invest - Preface

Namur Invest is a mixed investment and financing company, with a public and private shareholding, focused on SMEs based in the Province of Namur. These financial interventions are aimed at any economically sustainable business project with development potential, in particular creating added value in industrial or innovative fields, but also in the service sector.

Preface, a subsidiary of Namur Invest, is intended to support spin-off projects, in partnership with universities located in the Province of Namur and using innovative technologies.

UNamur Venture

The mission of the UNamur Venture investment fund is to provide seed capital for UNamur spin-off projects.
The purpose of this initiative is linked to UNamur's third mission, its vocation to serve society and support local and regional economic development.
This purpose is also linked to Namur Invest's mission to support, create and develop SMEs in the Province of Namur.

The LIEU network

For the past ten years, the knowledge transfer services (KTO for Knowledge Transfer Office) of the five universities of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation have been working together within the Réseau LIEU (Liaison Entreprises-Universités).
The action of the LIEU network enables, while respecting the autonomy of each institution to:

  • consolidate the university offer
  • federate resources within the framework of collective approaches and joint projects
  • realize significant economies of scale.

The Easynove network

EasyNove is the network of technological innovation players serving companies. It emanates from the Agence de Stimulation Technologique (AST), created by the Walloon Government in 2006. Its mission is to structure and lead the Walloon technological innovation network (known as EasyNove), in order to increase companies' capacity for innovation.
It is made up of the following operators: LIEU (network of business-university interfaces and Adisif), Wal-Tech (network of accredited research centers), Entreprise Europe Network Wallonie, SPoW (network of Walloon science parks), InnovaTech, PICARRÉ and NCP-Wallonie (Europe contact point).
