Living expenses - Monthly budget

  • A kot in town, indicatively €400 (+ possible charges) + rental guarantee, based on 10, 11 or 12-month contracts.

The Société Wallonne du Crédit Social (SWCS) can grant a 0% "rental guarantee" loan (under certain conditions). More information on the SWCS website.

Food

The University of Namur offers its students a discounted food offer at the university restaurant "l'Arsenal".

The monthly food budget depends on:

However, €400 is currently the estimated average monthly budget for a student who is isolated and assumes living expenses alone 7 days a week.

Transport

  • For commuter students: Student SNCB pass / TEC bus pass (€12/year if under 25). Combined SNCB + TEC/STIB pass.
  • For the commuter student: Student Multi SNCB pass / TEC bus pass (12 €/year if under 25)

In addition to all these costs, there are also maintenance, miscellaneous and leisure expenses.
