The University of Namur is one of the European partner universities in the organisation of the European Master of Science in Skin Health and Care (EMOTION).

This is a first in terms of pedagogical approach: to have all the students and teachers of the Faculty of law, all blocks (bachelor in daytime and in staggered timetable) and programmes combined, work for an academic year on the same theme. From courses to practical work, including conferences, cultural and artistic events and civic engagement, all the activities proposed by the Faculty of law focus on the same theme: childhood in a migratory context. The project is called "Fill rouge" (Red thread). After a successful first four months, the momentum is building for the second half of the academic year.

Gnoari Tankoano and Mathieu Traore, PhD students from Bukina Faso, have just spent three months at the Faculty of Law of UNamur. One of the major concerns with the disease caused by Covid-19 is its severe course, which causes many problems that can lead to hospital overload. Early detection of whether or not a person is at risk of developing a severe form of the disease is therefore crucial to optimise patient care and hospital resource management. This is one of the objectives of the study carried out by QUALIblood, a UNamur spin-off, in collaboration with the Department of Pharmacy and many other industrial and hospital partners. Two researchers from the Department of Pharmacy initiated the project: Romain Siriez and Constant Gillot. Under the supervision of Professor Jean-Michel Dogné, they imagined creating a real pharmacy, which would be the ideal place to practice innovative pedagogy, essential for the training of master's students during specialized pharmacotherapy.

François Briard graduated in Law and Management of Information Technology (DGTIC) in 1994 after obtaining his bachelor's and master's degrees in computer science in 1993. He works at CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research in Geneva, the world's largest particle physics laboratory. During his schooling, which was 100% at UNamur, he was vice-president of the Namur Region and student delegate during his application years in economic and social sciences, computer science option. Thanks to the multidisciplinary training provided at UNamur, he was able to seize several opportunities to reorient his career within CERN.
