SETT supportSince 2019, the salon SETT "School, Education, Transformation, Technology" has welcomed Belgian and international experts to train teachers and nurture their reflections on issues surrounding digital in education. It is the largest French-language event of its kind in Belgium, bringing together teachers from all levels of education and all disciplines. The University of Namur participates in the show's scientific committee, selecting top-quality speakers and contributing its own research to the themes addressed.To strengthen this link between research and the field of education, the University of Namur's Chaire Educ0Num has also been organizing an annual scientific event since 2024, taking place the day before the show: the Pré-SETT. This takes the form of a study day and brings together researchers from a variety of disciplinary backgrounds to collectively advance scientific questioning, the results of which are then communicated more widely at the show.This year, the Pré-SETT study day will focus on the theme: "Breaking the code(s): Beyond injunctions and paradoxes on digital in education".Would you like to take part? The activity book for technical and critical digital educationThe site lists digital education activities linked to the "Formation Manuelle, Technique, Technologique et le Numérique" (FMTTN) repository, built as part of the "Pacte pour un enseignement d'Excellence" education reform.School-ITThe School-IT project aims to develop an original "digital kit" for teachers wishing to try their hand at teaching IT in nursery, primary and secondary education. Continuing education for legal professionals
As well as teaching and research, the University has a mission to serve society. As part of this, the Faculty of Law offers a range of continuing education activities for legal professionals.The Association des Juristes Namurois (AJN), a non-profit association initiated and supported by the Faculty and bringing together the driving forces behind the various legal circles in the Namur region, frequently organizes conferences on a variety of topical themes.In addition, the Centre de recherche Information, Droit et Société (CRIDS) within the Faculty offers a lecture series "@crids" covering all aspects of information and communication technology law from a resolutely practical angle, as well as several continuing education courses in fields related to ICT law: InfoSafe and DataSafe.The faculty also offers training in forensics and urban security management, culminating in an inter-university certificate.It is also involved in development cooperation.

It's impossible to forget Namur's Faculty of Law once you've been there! The mutual attachment is very real during and after studies, and contacts remain numerous in what could be described as "the Namur spirit". That's why some alumni have founded ADANam, the Association des Anciens de la Faculté de droit de Namur.

Center Vulnérabilités et Sociétés
The "Vulnerabilities and Societies" ("V&S") research center takes an interdisciplinary approach to the relationship between vulnerability(ies) and society(ies). It is the result of the merger of the Droits fondamentaux & Lien social center (formerly Droit et sécurité d'existence) and the Projucit center (Protection juridique des citoyens), which decided to join forces to reflect on the fragilities observed in our societies.

Law Library
The Law Library of the University of Namur is the lawyer's laboratory, a privileged place for research, study and work. It is also a place open to all, with over 24,000 visitors a year, more than 50,000 consultations of legal databases every year and over 20,000 books available...It also houses the CRIDS (Centre de Recherche Information, Droit, Société) documentation center, as well as the Vulnérabilités et Sociétés documentation center. It is open to all students, legal professionals, teachers and others.
