The power of influence of a scientific publication: computer science researchers rewarded!
The Ten-years Most Influential Paper award has just been presented to three members of UNamur's Faculty of Computer Science: Xavier Devroey, Gilles Perrouin and Maxime Cordy. The award recognizes the paper published ten years previously that has had the greatest impact on the research community. UNamur students take on space challenges at SpaceHack
Five students with a passion for computer science represented the University of Namur at SpaceHack 2023 as part of the UniversEH alliance. This initiative aims to build a collective entrepreneurial action to explore the future potential of the space industry up to 2035. 26 countries took part in this international competition, which brought together start-ups, space-related companies and students on space-related programmes.

48 hours to develop IT innovations for disability
From 17 to 19 February 2023, the CSLabs, a student association based at the Faculty of Computer Science at UNamur, organised its annual hackathon. What was on the agenda? A real computer marathon during which several teams met to think about an innovative project on a particular theme. This year, it was about disability.

XVIII International Workshop on Artificial Life and Environmental Computation WIVACE 2024
The workshop provides a forum for the discussion of new research directions and applications in Artificial Life, Evolutionary Computation and in related fields, where different disciplines and research areas could effectively meet. Teaching kindergarten to secondary 3 (sections 1 to 3)
The Reform of Initial Teacher Training (RFIE) began in 2023. To become a teacher in sections 1 to 3 (from reception to secondary 3), students must now follow a 4-year course, organized by a high school (referent establishment) in co-graduation with one or more universities. The University of Namur co-organizes training courses with Hénallux (referent) and UCLouvain, as well as with IMEP for music teaching.
