Teaching kindergarten to secondary 3 (sections 1 to 3)
The Reform of Initial Teacher Training (RFIE) began in 2023. To become a teacher in sections 1 to 3 (from reception to secondary 3), students must now follow a 4-year course, organized by a high school (referent establishment) in co-graduation with one or more universities. The University of Namur co-organizes training courses with Hénallux (referent) and UCLouvain, as well as with IMEP for music teaching.

A master's degree specializing in teaching in all categories of higher education in Haute école and Promotion sociale including pedagogy for courses in pedagogy, didactics or training to and through practice.

Certificat d'aptitude pédagogique appropriate for higher education (CAPAES)
The FaSEF provides theoretical and practical training in preparation for the CAPAES for teachers under contract to a Haute-École or in social promotion higher education outside the pedagogical categories.

LEA (Academic Reading and Writing)
Many studies show that mastery of the written language and, above all, the ability to adapt to a particular communication context (that of the University) contribute to success in bac 1. However, students begin their university careers with a variety of tools, and the appropriation of the "access codes" and written conventions used in higher education is rarely the subject of explicit information or teaching.

The Department of Physics welcomes a delegation from CERN
In May 2025, the Department of Physics welcomed two special visitors: Serge Mathot and François Briard from Namur, both alumni of UNamur and members of CERN. Several activities were on the program, ranging from a visit to the particle accelerator, to science popularization and thematic seminars, particularly in heritage sciences. The aim? To identify areas or activities in which UNamur and CERN could strengthen their collaboration.
