In January 2023, Professor Romain Houssa of UNamur led a Belgian delegation to formulate a new ARES Institutional Support (IS) programme at the University of Abomey-Calavi (UAC) in Benin. This multidisciplinary research and innovation support programme aims to strengthen scientific collaboration between FWB researchers and Benin as well as other countries in the West African region, notably Togo, Niger and Burkina Faso.

The Summer School in International Finance takes place every summer at UNamur. About fifteen students from the Michigan State University spend a month in Namur, accompanied by two professors. At the initiative of this summer school, Antoinette Tessmer, a former doctoral student from UNamur, now professor of Finance in the USA. September 1961. A few professors and about fifteen students are entering the Faculty of Economics, Social Sciences and Management at UNamur for the very first time. It was 60 years ago, in the house of Marmol, Rampart of the Virgin.
