From Master's to entrepreneurship: the inspiring path of a doctorate in management engineering
At the University of Namur, master's students in management engineering have the opportunity to follow an immersion course, taking part in three in-company internships. This is the path followed by Lhorie Pirnay. During her internships, she worked on improving "Hybrid Strategy Maps", a tool designed to help companies optimize their decisions. Backed by a network of influential sponsors, the former student, now a doctoral student, has just obtained the invaluable support of Win4SpinOff funding to develop her project. Iluna Timmerman, management engineering student and familiar face on Flemish television
She's 18, studying for a BAC 1 in the Faculty of Economics, Social Sciences and Management, and is at the heart of a reality TV show following her family's life in Flanders. The show is called Château Planckaert, named after her grandfather Eddy Planckaert, a famous racing cyclist. Meet Iluna Timmerman, a serious, humble and reserved student.

Marianne Collin, Chief risk officer at Belfius
Fallen into economics by chance, Marianne Collin has been passionate about economic policy since her first application to UNamur. Her meeting with Luc Coene, former Governor of the National Bank, marked the start of her career: she remained with this institution for 13 years before joining Belfius at the request of Marc Raisière, Chairman of the Management Committee. In 2019, at the age of 37, she will become the first woman to join the Management Committee as Chief Risk Officer. She has fond memories of UNamur and, above all, a band of loyal friends.

UNamur researcher wins Best Research Paper Award at American Marketing Association conference - SERVSIG
Floriane Goosse, a PhD student at the University of Namur, within the NaDI-CeRCLe research center, has received the prestigious "Best Research Paper Award" for her thesis paper conducted in collaboration with Wafa Hammedi, professor in the Department of Management at UNamur, and Dominik Mahr, from Maastricht University.
