This module focuses on the health risks associated with environmental change. It covers the basics of spatial epidemiology and health geography and discusses the contribution of these disciplines to health risk management.
The module will consist of 15 hours of theory made up of seminars, interactive ex-cathedra lectures and group discussions, as well as 15 hours of practical work on computer (QGis software), including 3 hours of mapathon.
Most of the theory is taught face-to-face at the University of Namur. One or more sessions may be given remotely (videoconferencing) by external guests. Most of the practical work takes place at the ULiège, Arlon campus.
The module is assessed on the basis of a work to be defended orally, using the approaches, tools and methods covered in the module.
All course notes will be shared with students via online platforms.
Course readings and materials will be shared with students during the course sessions.
