Women of the University 2026

Conceived and created by four students from the University of Namur, and coordinated by the University Community Life Service (VéCU), this project offers an inspiring showcase of the journeys, voices, and commitments of the women who bring the institution to life every day. Throughout the month of March, a series of portraits of women from the university will be on display in various locations across campus.  Come discover the portraits of seven inspiring women from the university’s seven faculties.

Annual "Women in Science" Conference

International Day of Women and Girls in Science is observed annually on February 11, in accordance with the United Nations General Assembly declaration of December 22, 2015.

Launched at the University of Namur by a group of doctoral students in 2021, the annual "Women in Science" event now aims to promote access to science and technology for women and girls (as well as people of all genders), along with their full and equitable participation. It highlights the important role of women in the scientific community and provides an excellent opportunity to encourage everyone to participate in scientific advancements.
