Learning outcomes

This course is an introduction to databases. It addresses the modeling of information systems through the database paradigm. It teach the student to rationally express typical problem situations in an appropriate formalism: data structures as tables, queries as SQL2 statements, semantic information structures as Entity-relationship schemas.

Content

Part 2 - Database methodology. Basic Entity-relationship model. Building an Entity-relationship model. Producing a database schema.
