Laurent Schumacher has been Professor of Telecommunications and Computer Networks at the Faculty of Computer Science since 2003. He has also served two terms as Faculty Vice-Dean, from 2012 to 2016 and from 2020 to 2021. Since the Marcourt decree, Laurent Schumacher has also been involved in the development of IT tools for the administrative management of training courses. He will be appointed Vice-Rector in 2021 and First Vice-Rector in 2025.

As a member of the Rector's Council, he

  • Works collegially with the other members of the Rector's Council to establish the strategic priority lines deriving from the strategic plan and to translate them into operational objectives.
  • Makes sure to provide the Rector's Council and the Board of Directors with the information that falls within the scope of his duties and that they require.
