For many years, the university community, its alumni and partners have been mobilizing to benefit cancer research through Operation Télévie. All donations collected are donated to the FNRS.

The project

Every year in Belgium, 75,000 people are diagnosed with cancer and 30,000 die from it. To give hope to all patients, cancer research remains a major challenge. In just a few decades, research has significantly increased the chances of surviving certain cancers. Other tumors, however, are resistant to treatment or highly recurrent. Scientists therefore continue to work on a daily basis to understand the disease and develop new therapies. UNamur has several laboratories active in the fight against cancer, within the Faculty of Medicine, the Faculty of Science and the NARILIS research institute.

Your donations in action: together, we make life worth living

Thanks to your support, UNamur organizes various actions and gives more means to the Télévie scientists who work every day to propose new treatments that are more effective against tumors and less damaging to healthy cells.
