At the end of the course, the student will be able to understand several molecular mechanisms sustaining adaptive processes to specific environments in free-living, mutualistic, parasitic and commensal bacteria.
The objective of this course is to be able to analyze, criticize and present papers related to molecular microbiology and to reconcile the information obtained from these papers with the concepts addressed by the Professor and the invited speakers.
The content of this course will be related to the major bacterial lifestyles and the underlying molecular mechanisms. One part of the content will depend on the research topic of the invited speakers and may thus vary from year to year.
