Learning outcomes

Theoretical and practical approach of standard methods in cell and tissue biology in order to identify their field of application, usefulness and limitations.

Goals

To understand, perform and describe basic experiments in preparation for the master thesis. Therefore, access is restricted to students in their final bachelor year.

Content

  • Microscopy
  • Tissue staining, histochemistry, immunohistochemistry
  • Extraction, purification and analysis of RNA
  • Analysis of proteins
  • Reporter systems and tags
