Exercices

The exercises will be available via the WebCampus platform.

Teaching methods

The course takes place once a week throughout the academic year. It is taught in person and in small groups. As it is interactive, the course requires students to attend regularly and participate actively in the various educational activities proposed by the teacher. Opportunities to practise oral and written production are provided on a regular basis.

Continuous assessment is organised throughout the academic year in accordance with the procedures specified in the ‘Assessment method’ section.

Assessment method

The course is subject to continuous assessment and a final assessment. The final mark will be calculated according to the following weighting:

A)  Continuous assessment (60%)

*     Test 1: 40% (written and oral presentations during Q1 and a written test in December during the last class session of Q1)

*     Test 2: 20% (written test in March/April covering part of the material in Q2)

B)  Final assessment (40%)

*     Written exam: 20% (exam during the last class session of Q2)

*     Oral exam: 20% (exam during the last class session of Q2)

The course is automatically passed if the final grade is equal to or higher than 10/20. In case of failure, a written exam and an oral exam will be organised in a second session. The final grade will be calculated according to the following weighting:

*     Written exam (covering all material covered during the year): 80%

*     Oral exam: 20%

Students who obtain a grade of 10/20 or higher for the June oral exam will be exempt from this part in the second session. This partial exemption is only valid for the current academic year.

Access to the June and second session exams is conditional on having participated in all course assessments. Each absence during an assessment must be justified by a medical certificate.
