The Law Library of the University of Namur is the lawyer's laboratory, a privileged place for research, study and work. It is also a place open to all, with over 24,000 visitors a year, more than 50,000 consultations of legal databases every year and over 20,000 books available...It also houses the CRIDS (Centre de Recherche Information, Droit, Société) documentation center, as well as the Vulnérabilités et Sociétés documentation center. It is open to all students, legal professionals, teachers and others.

The Faculty of Law focuses its research priorities around its two research centers. Publications by members of the Faculty of Law and the research centers enrich academic discourse through their diversity. The Chaire Francqui, meanwhile, gathers prestigious events around eminent personalities, while the University of Namur's doctoral program in law offers a framework conducive to the flourishing of doctoral research.

Continuing education for legal professionals As well as teaching and research, the University has a mission to serve society. As part of this, the Faculty of Law offers a range of continuing education activities for legal professionals.The Association des Juristes Namurois (AJN), a non-profit association initiated and supported by the Faculty and bringing together the driving forces behind the various legal circles in the Namur region, frequently organizes conferences on a variety of topical themes.In addition, the Centre de recherche Information, Droit et Société (CRIDS) within the Faculty offers a lecture series "@crids" covering all aspects of information and communication technology law from a resolutely practical angle, as well as several continuing education courses in fields related to ICT law: InfoSafe and DataSafe.The faculty also offers training in forensics and urban security management, culminating in an inter-university certificate.It is also involved in development cooperation. The mutual attachment is very real during and after studies, and contacts remain numerous in what could be described as "the Namur spirit". Arcadia is the name of an ideal society, a bucolic utopia. But it is also the name chosen by the members of a brand-new research centre at UNamur. This centre, created within the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters and attached to the ESPHIN institute, questions three themes at the heart of our contemporaneity: the Anthropocene, history and utopias.

Launched in March 2011, Pluri-LL is intended as a lever to stimulate and coordinate collaboration between academics and scientists doing research in different areas of plurilingualism.

At the end of January 2023, the Metropolitan Museum of Art (New York) returned a real treasure to Belgium: a medieval charter bearing the seal of the Count of Flanders Philippe d'Alsace, formerly kept in the abbey of Messines (West Flanders), which had disappeared at the beginning of the First World War. A look back at the tribulations of this archival document, the restitution of which is the result of a fruitful collaboration between the PraME Centre of UNamur, the General Archives of the Kingdom and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

This is a first in terms of pedagogical approach: to have all the students and teachers of the Faculty of law, all blocks (bachelor in daytime and in staggered timetable) and programmes combined, work for an academic year on the same theme. From courses to practical work, including conferences, cultural and artistic events and civic engagement, all the activities proposed by the Faculty of law focus on the same theme: childhood in a migratory context. The project is called "Fill rouge" (Red thread). After a successful first four months, the momentum is building for the second half of the academic year.
