Created in 1978, the Department of Psychology has carried out extensive research in various fields of the humanities and social sciences as well as health, with a particular interest in vulnerable people, neuroscience and eHealth.

Research
Research in the Department of Psychology includes the study of cognition and emotion interactions through different techniques (behavioral, pharmacological, electrophysiological and neuroimaging), different states (wakefulness, sleep, hypnosis and meditation) and in different populations (healthy people, people with mood disorders, people with anxiety disorders, people with substance abuse, ...). They also concern the field of eHealth and include collaborations on research projects using mobile applications to track health and well-being.

The Department of Biomedical Sciences at the University of Namur focuses on the development of tools and techniques dedicated to understanding the functioning of the human body at the molecular, cellular and organic levels. Its aim is to create new therapies and technological devices to improve people's health and quality of life. The result of a long-term effort, this inventory was conceived at the outset of UNamur's Pedagogical Innovation Plan,The Pedagogical Innovation Plan is the result of an institutional observation noting the emergence of new (or more varied) pedagogical methods within our teaching. This observation was the subject of internal reflection (Cellule TICE, Cellule PUNCh, Service de Pédagogie Universitaire, Pôle de Formation Continue...) foreseeing the need for a more in-depth analysis of the field.The plan for pedagogical innovation is the result of an institutional observation noting the emergence of new (or more varied) pedagogical methods within our teaching.
