Back to the Maraude in 2021
Reinette de France, Belle Fleur, Petit Bon Pommier, Cwastresse, Court Pendu, Gueule de Mouton... are just some of the 25 ancient apple varieties in the orchard located in the pretty Samson Valley and cultivated pesticide-free at least since its acquisition by the University. Owned by UNamur since 1978, these 600 80-year-old trees represent a rare biotope where the university's sheep and lambs graze harmoniously.
Run in the woods
Every May, UNamur's Sports Department organizes a trail run through the woods and orchards of the Domaine d'Haugimont. This run is open to all and offers 2 distances (6 km and 13 km). Snacks and a bar add to the convivial atmosphere of the event.
