The Quality approach, initiated many years ago at the University of Namur, has gradually become established in the various spheres of the University through various continuous improvement initiatives, as summarized in the figure below.

Since its creation in 2012, the portfolio of the quality approach support department has evolved to include many cross-functional issues. Initially, the focus was on providing support to general services. Later, the quality approach diversified to support both teaching and research, in addition to general services. Today, the department is involved in a wide range of projects, from document management to programmatic evaluations, managing the Euraxess label and conducting satisfaction surveys.
