The examination is oral, with preparation time. This preparation enables students to structure their thoughts on the prescribed medicine and its responsible delivery to a patient. During the examination, the student must demonstrate mastery of the disciplines related to pharmaceutical sciences, in particular physiology, pathology, pharmacology (pharmacodynamics, pharmacokinetics, pharmacotherapy), medicinal chemistry, analysis, medical biochemistry, galenic pharmacy and legislation/deontology. During individual preparation for the exam, students have access to a number of reliable documentary sources relating to the pharmaceutical sciences.
Assessors are teachers on the Master's in Pharmacy course and may be accompanied by practising dispensing pharmacists and/or members of learned societies.
