Understand the main processes leading to the formation of magmatic and metamorphic rocks on Earth.
Description of the stucture of Earth, including volcanism, plutonism and metamorphism, using the main mineralogical and petrographical classifications. Geochemical and physical properties of magmas. Partial melting. Evolution of rocks with P/T variations on Earth.
Written examination (theoretical concepts) + oral practical examination.
