Learning outcomes

The objective of this course is to introduce students to basic concepts of microeconomics. The course also aims to raise students' interest in economic reasoning by illustrating how it can be applied to understanding everyday issues or events.

Content

The course follows a traditional approach, with the analysis of consumer behavior, producer production decision and finally the analysis of general equilibrium. Particular emphasis is put on formal reasoning and on applications of theoretical tools through multiple exercises.

Assessment method

Continuous Evaluation: MCQ and homeworks to submit on the webcampus (10%)

Oral Examen (90%): Close-book exam with questions on theoretical aspects and on exercises.
